- December 22, 2024 It is difficult to put into words the immense gratitude I feel for Dr. Brian Cole and his team. I can honestly say that what they’ve done for me has been truly life changing.
Football has been my passion since I was a child. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of playing at the Division One collegiate level. But that all came to a halt due to an unfortunate non-contact knee injury during practice. I tore my lateral meniscus and damaged the articular cartilage in my femur. After a failed initial surgery, it became increasingly clear that I might never play again.
That was when I was introduced to Dr. Cole. From the moment I met him, I could tell he was someone who meant business. I immediately knew I was in the right hands. He performed an osteochondral allograft on my lateral femoral condyle. The recovery has been long, but the results have been more than worth it. Today, my lower body strength is better than it has ever been, and I’m returning to the sport and activities I love.
This surgery has affected me far beyond the physical recovery. As an athlete, an injury like this can leave you feeling isolated from your friends and teammates. But Dr. Cole gave me a second chance at life, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
